Agenda : Reviewing the status quo of democracy in India with emphasis on religious extremism, free speech and federal principles

The Lok Sabha Committee in a Model United Nations (MUN) that is a simulation of the workings of the lower house of Parliament, the Lok Sabha. Delegates in this committee take on the roles of Indian Members of Parliament (MPs) and engage in debates, discussions, and decision-making processes on national issues. The committee follows the parliamentary procedures of India, where members propose bills, raise motions, and engage in constructive debates to shape the legislative agenda. The Lok Sabha Committee provides an opportunity for MUN participants to gain a deeper understanding of India's political system and the complexities of democratic governance.
